People's love for the Kia Soul hasn't dwindled over the years. The model still continues to impress with its standout shape that's got a bit of quirky charm, its ever-growing list of features that keeps impressing shoppers, and its different levels of performance that suit all types of drivers.

The Soul is available in three trims, and today we'll help you decide which one is right for you.

The Kia Soul (Base)

Even though most vehicles today are packed with technology, not everyone on the road wants to have all the bells and whistles. Or they may not have a big enough budget to take home a super-equipped car. If either example explains your situation, you'll appreciate the base trim and its simple amenities which include SiriusXM radio, a backup camera, and auto on/off headlights. The engine is a 1.6L with 130 horsepower

If you do want a little more technology without going up a trim level, you can get this trim's Convenience Package with adds on a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. There's also a Designer Collection Package and 6-Speed Sportmatic® Transmission Package.

The Kia Soul + (Plus)

This is our most well-stocked trim! People love it because you get a lot of standard features, but you can also add on many more additional amenities with the help of the Audio Package and Primo Package. As is, you get a slightly stronger 2.0L engine with 161 horsepower and touchscreen with smartphone integration features. Both packages are fairly robust, but we'll highlight our favorite features below.

Audio Package:

  • Harman Kardon speaker system
  • Navigation with an 8-inch touchscreen
  • Push button start with smart key
  • Interior style accents

Primo Package

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Heated, ventilated, and power-adjusted seats with leather trim
  • Forward collision warning
  • Smart cruise control
  • Lane departure warning
  • Blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert
  • Autonomous emergency braking

Kia Soul ! (Exclaim)

Those with a need for speed and performance will love the 1.6L turbo engine with 201 horsepower! You'll also get a standard Supervision information cluster and the push button start with a smart key is now standard. Like the Plus trim, there are two packages: Tech Package and Sunroof Package. The Plus and Exclaim Tech Packages have a lot of similarities, though the Exclaim's has fewer features.
